Season 3, Episode 2

Our Christmas charter was with the Beeden family from Canada. John Beeden is an Atlantic Ocean rower. He rowed from the Canary island to Barbados and is planning  to row from San Diego to Australia. We were to pick them up in Trellis Bay at 5:30pm however their flight from Antigua was delayed and they did not arrive till 9:30. We snorkeled Marina Cay the next morning after Michelle’s french toast and the family enjoyed the beach on shore. We spent the next night at the Bitter End Yacht Club, watched the Tarpon feeding, had dinner onboard and had an early night after all the traveling. As our usual we left for Anegada early the next morning. The girls were feeling a little sea sick but handled it well. The sail over was very good and we were dropping anchor in 3 hours. We rented a car and I chauffeured them around the island to Cow Wreck and Lobolly Beaches. The family likes to walk the beach in search of a certain type of sea shell. The next day we went to Sandy Spit, Sandy Cay and the Bubbling Pool. There was a lack of bubbles on this visit. We spent the next couple days visiting the Indians, the Caves, Cooper Island and the Baths. We spent the last night, Christmas eve at Marina Cay. After a morning snorkel the girls opened the gifts their parents bought for them. To our surprise we got one as well. During the charter they enjoyed watching several movies on the big screen in the cockpit and played games. They all enjoyed the swimming and snorkeling and relaxing on Steppin Up. They are a very nice family and were a pleasure to meet and entertain.

Good luck on your next rowing excursion John.
